The Palazzo del Freddo, and it says so on the glass: the oldest gelateria in Italy. It is a hall rather than a counter — marble, old machines along the wall, families at tables — and you pay first and hand over the ticket, which is how it has always worked. Out past Piazza Vittorio and worth the walk.
