There are kilometres of corridors between the entrance and the Sistine Chapel, so go in with a plan. Book the first slot or the last one, walk quickly through the maps, take your time in the Raphael rooms, and keep something left for Michelangelo. The spiral staircase on the way out is worth a pause.
